Motor Neurone Disease Association
I completed this marathon to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Currently I have managed to £560 with the MSF and am still getting donations come in. This charity is really important to me as my grandad suffer from this disease, this money will help so many people!

Hear Together
I've been a member of SRR for many years and whilst ran a few marathons London 2023 was the one supporting a local Charity Hear Together. It was great to be able to apply to the running club for help with my fund raising efforts through the Members Support Fund and gave me a great start to my fundraising target.
Big thanks to SRR and all its members for making the support fund possible and helping those raising money for worthy causes.

WellChild
I had always wanted to run for charity but I wasn't sure whether I could ever reach the minimum pledge amount for the London Marathon. The MSF gave me a fantastic head start towards my total fundraising goal and the opportunity of running for an amazing charity called WellChild. In the end the MSF contribution meant that I exceeded my fundraising target which was something I never thought possible. It's been an incredible experience raising funds and running for such a great cause. Thank you SRR and the MSF.

Guide Dogs
Loch Ness marathon was my goal in 2022, as a guide dog owner I decided to raise what I could for the Guide Dogs, the support from the member support fund has really helped give me some motivation in my training as it boosted my fundraising. I was so proud to cross the finish at Loch Ness, to earn my medal and achieve my goal.

British Heart Foundation
Thank you, Smalley Road Runners, for having the MSF fund, which helped me reach my target. Not only have you helped me make it possible to run my dream marathon, but you have also supported a charity that is really close to my heart and for that, I am forever grateful.

Children's Heart Unit Fund (CHUF)
I am very thankful for the MSF helping me to raise money for a charity that means a lot to me and my family. The Children’s heart unit fund looked after us when my daughter needed a heart transplant, and it feels great to give back in any way I can.

Rainbows
This year I was a lucky recipient of the MSF fund for running The London Marathon. I initially found the thought of raising such a big amount of money very daunting. However, knowing I had secured a £500 donation on finishing my race helped me plough on with my events and training.
The London marathon was mind-blowing. It was such an awesome experience, nothing like the race I trained for, but it didn't matter and I finished feeling jubilant knowing I’d done an amazing job for my charity. Thank you SRR and the MSF
