Testimonials

Everything we to at Smalley Road Runners is for our members, so it gives us a great sense of pride when we hear great feedback, some of which is below:

I've met some amazing people at SRR. I wish that I had joined earlier.
Smalley Road Runners have given me encouragement, guidance and use of their vast knowledge in the art of running, and no matter what level you are, everyone is treated exactly the same.
Joining SRR helped me rekindle my love for the outdoors, put me in a more positive place mentally and most of all improved my physical fitness.
Joining SRR really turned my life around. I was so overweight, and my confidence was at such an all-time low, but my first meeting was so easy. The people are lovely and the support and inclusion I receive is like nothing I ever thought possible. I’ve learnt that my weight is irrelevant, and my pace doesn't matter. The only person I run to challenge is me and I’ve found a love for something and respect for all the people that do it. I’ve achieved so much and I’m very proud and thankful.
Joining SRR to do Couch25K was the best thing we as a family of have 5 have done! That’s including 3 teenagers!! We started it not knowing if or how long we would stick to it, but the Club was amazing every step of the way. We felt part of the team from day one. The online encouragement has been amazing and we just love being a part of it. We are all healthier, happier and have met new friends along the way. I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
It was a year ago that I joined SRR, I can honestly say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done, my only regret is that I didn’t join earlier. I’ve made some great friends and friends for life now - a great group of people. Thank you to each and every one of you that have ran with me, I’ve gotten stronger and have gone on to have three personal bests. Thank you to you all from this friendly, fantastic club for making me feel welcome. Love to you all.
I’ve been a member of three other running clubs before joining SRR, however I can honestly say I’ve never been a part of a club like it! Nobody EVER gets left behind, and I love going to races knowing I will have the support to the finish line.
I’ve made lots of lovely friends and achieved so much more with my running than I ever thought possible.
Joining SRR has been a life changer, I’m more active, can run, enjoy being outside, and have achieved things I never would have imagined and most importantly I have met some amazing like-minded and supportive people.
